Welcome to our new family blog. I'm not much of a writer, but here's a place where I can keep a photo journal of how things are going with us in the far away land of Alaska.
After successfully making the two week drive to Anchorage, we got to go on a few new adventures before we had to get back to work. We went fishing, flying and backpacking.
I quickly learned my way around town. It's a cinch compared to Chicago (where I can still get lost!). I began my new job in the Anchorage branch of UBS. The transition has gone better than I could have ever expected. All my co-workers are super nice and great to work with. Brian has stepped up to the plate as a new manager at the Rainmaker/Magic Wand Car Washes. He is really enjoying all the hands on work.
We are still on look out for the perfect house to raise our family in. The market is in our favor, but it's still hard to find just the right place. In case you hadn't heard, Brian and I are pregnant! I am in my thirteenth weekso I have just begun my second trimester. Our due date is April 9th. Hopefully, we'll be all settled in a new home by the new year and can start on that nursery. Wish us luck!
For you animal lovers, Lola and Bjork are doing just fine. They have a new playmate with Mom's, aka Jennifer's, dog, Happy.
Well, I think that's about all for our current update. Here are the pictures some of you have been asking for! They begin with our drive up and go through Labor Day...
