Lucy and I went to Chicago for the 4th of July and for my cousin Maggie's bridal shower. We arrived tired from our red eye from Anchorage. After Lucy and I took a nice long nap we headed out to the Taste of Chicago. We had to go early to get a good spot for the fireworks that night. I was hoping that Lucy would stay awake until the show started at 9pm, but she fell asleep just ten minutes before they started. And woke up right after they were over. How typical!
The day after the 4th, we headed out to Oak Street Beach. The water was a little cold and Lucy preferred to play in the sand.
Next up was the zoo. We had lunch by the seals. Lucy got to pet some goats in the petting zoo which was very exciting for her.
Spent some quality time with my cousins Dave...
... and Jack.
We put out the sprinklers for Lucy, but as you can see, she was not a fan.
Spent some time at the park with my Aunt Nancy.
Cousin Burke came over for dinner. He was one of my favorites.
Maggie had a coed bridal shower BBQ. There were lots of people, but Lucy eventually loosened up and was running around on her own. Thanks to Aunt Nancy who spent a lot time with Lucy on her lap first.
